My wife, Gerda, and I after completing the Milky Way Challenge at the Space Coast Half Marathon on November 29, 2015

Space Coast Half Marathon Cocoa, Florida Sunday, November 29, 2015 On Sunday, November 29, 2015 I completed the Space Coast Half Marathon in Cocoa, Florida. It was a partly sunny day with little wind and a temperature from 66 to 74 degrees. The course was a relatively flat out and back course over two lane paved roads that were completely closed to traffic along the Indian River. The intersections were controlled by police and volunteers. Water/Gatorade stations were located approximately every mile and were manned by plenty of efficient enthusiastic volunteers. There were a capped field of 3600 participants in the half marathon which made the event somewhat crowded. I have done the Space Coast Marathon 6 times and the Space Coast Half Marathon 7 times. I have always enjoyed myself in this well-organized fun event.
