Marathon of the Palm Beaches

I race walked the Marathon of the Palm Beaches. It was a very hot day as it was 73 degrees when the race started at 6:30 AM and was in the low 80's by the end of the race. There was very little wind. The course was flat as the only hill from the past was eliminated from the course. The event was well planned with plenty of volunteers handing out water and Gatorade approximately every mile or two. The times were slow because of the heat; however, it was fun. This is the third year for the event and I have race walked each.
