Harrisburg Marathon
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Sunday, November 11, 2007

I race walked the Harrisburg, Marathon in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Sunday, November 11, 2007. It was a beautiful fall, cold day with temperatures in the 30’s and 40’s; Fortunately, it was sunny and windless and offered beautiful scenery along the Susquehanna River and through fall colored, tree-lined streets and bike paths. The marathon was a small, 733 finishers, well organized race with plenty of volunteers. The course was mostly flat with two very challenging miles of hills between miles 17 and 19 that had many short, very steep hills along a hiking trail. Those two miles took a lot out of most of the competitors. I enjoyed the event.
Pictures from the weekend can be seen in following postings.
