Missoula Half Marathon

On Sunday, June 30, 2019 I race walked the Missoula Half Marathon in Missoula, Montana.  It was a perfect day for the event as the temperature remained in the 50’s with sunny skies and little breeze.  The course was on paved roads that were completely closed to traffic and had police and volunteers at almost every intersection to insure the separation of the participants and the traffic.  The first three miles had a little up and down and the rest was almost flat.  The water/Powerade stations were located approximately every 2 miles had had plenty of friendly efficient volunteers taking care of the needs of the 1012 full marathon and 2710 half marathon finishers.  Tye event has been continuously growing and is always well organized and fun.  I have done the event 9 times (2 full marathons and 7 half marathons).
